Melbourne Swimming Club had an outstanding competition at this weeks Victorian State Age Championships placing second overall in the teams points score.

Held at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre from 16th-20th December, the states best swimmers all competed for individual and team success.

MSC was represented by 79 swimmers achieving 19 gold, 9 silver and 13 individual bronze medals.

Most swimmers achieved personal best times along with several qualifying for the National Age Championships on the Gold Coast in April 2024.

The MSC boys were led by Luca Brown who won the State Age Champion Award for the 14 year old boys category along with Harry McCraw, Felix & Milo Dressel-de Bruyn, Leo Nolan, Bart Oporowicz and Gianluca Paradiso all winning multiple medals. While Catherine Boyle, Grace Dobie, Arabella, Elsa Wang, Sophie Jacka and Romy Heard won multiple medals in the girls category.  

MSC performed very well in the team relays collecting 2 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals.

A big thank to out coaching group led by Head Coach Ian Pope and our senior coaching group of Mark McGrann, Liam Pope, Julie-Anne Roberts and Matt Kearns.
