Melbourne Swimming Club is excited to announce the appointment of three new coaches including experienced and well respected industry leader Tim Mulvihill.

Prior to joining MSC, Tim was the Head Coach at Mentone Grammar and more recently, held the position of Director of Swimming at Firbank Grammar.

Tim experience’s will be instrumental in assisting MSC's development squads, where he will be focusing on technique improvement, and teaching the  fundamentals of squad training.

Tim is very much looking forward to working with Ian Pope and developing the younger age swimmers at the club.

Along with Tim, Olivia Mitchell and Sam Pope have recently commenced coaching at MSC.  Olivia joins MSC through the club’s partnership with the City of Yarra at the Richmond Recreation Centre. Olivia will be integral in supporting MSC swimmer's transition into the development program.

Sam brings great enthusiasm and energy to the MSC program after recent coaching roles at Loreto and Surrey Park swimming programs.

MSC Head Coach Ian Pope said that MSC has experienced significant growth since its inception in June 2021. 'Having Tim, Olivia and Sam join the coaching team will ensure we provide a premium experience to our swimmers with a focus on providing the technical and mental edge.' he said.
