Melbourne Swimming Club (MSC) is excited to announce the appointment of experienced international coach, Mark McGrann to join the MSC Geelong coaching team.
Born & raised in Ireland, Mark was the Assistant Coach with Lisburn City Swimming Club before moving to Chena Swim Club in North Vancouver as the Senior Assistant Head Coach.
For the past 4 years, McGrann has been the Head Coach of the Halifax Trojans Aquatic Club, one of the most successful junior programs in Canada, having coached several National & Provincial medalists.
MSC Head Coach Ian Pope said: ‘It is excellent to have Mark McGrann join the MSC coaching team and lead our Geelong program. Mark is very experienced, hardworking, has a key focus on the technical aspect of swim coaching and has had great success with high performance athletes.
Coach McGrann commented: ‘I have always wanted to coach and develop my coaching skills in Australia, and I am excited about the next chapter in my coaching career. MSC is a very professional organisation that has seen exceptional results in the past 18 months. I look forward to working closely with Ian Pope and the wider coaching group to help the MSC swimmers develop as athletes and people.’
